LEGAL RESOURCES ON THE WEB
The internet has well over a billion web pages listed, and a goodly number of them are law related. Below are some of the sites that I have found useful. They are all free sites. As I have no control over the content of these sites, or your use of the information contained therein, I cannot guarantee their accuracy, timeliness or relevance to your particular problem. These sites cannot be considered a replacement for the advice of an attorney for a particular legal problem.
www.PennsylvaniaLegalResearch.com An excellent site listing dozens of Pennsylvania legal resources, including PA laws, regulations, cases, references and much more. Highly recommended.
http://www.aopc.org/: The “homepage” for the Pennsylvania judicial system.
www.worldbestwebsites.com/law.htm a purported listing of the “world’s best” legal websites. A worthwhile site.
Hire a Lawyer An ABA site, geared to the layperson looking for a lawyer.
Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)
http://lawcrawler.lp.findlaw.com This is a search engines that concentrates on law related sites. A good place to start a legal search in preference to a general search engine such as Yahoo and Google (excellent sites in themselves, and well worth a visit), and a very good legal research tool.
www.law.com An excellent web site chock-full of legal resources for the layperson or legal professional. It includes easy (relatively) access to laws, regulations, court opinions and documents, as well as a decent search engine.
ABALawInfo.org A site maintained by the American Bar Association.
www.lawoffice.com A host of tools for the layperson and legal professional, including legal news, child support calculators, state specific resources and a very good collection of links to other web sites.
www.law.cornell.edu A top-of-the line legal site, offering excellent articles, opinion pieces The Federal Rules of Evidence, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, web links and up to the minute court decisions (an excellent resource to find recent U.S. Supreme Court opinions), but a bit difficult for the layperson to navigate, and seems to be aimed more at the legal professional and law student.
www.lexisone.com A free version of Lexis-Nexis, including free forms, case law research, statutory research etc. Definitely aimed at the legal professional, the layperson may be a little lost here, but it is definitely worth the time spent mastering it.
www.lawyers.com Consumers can search a database of more than 420,000 lawyers and law firms using criteria such as location, lawyer or law firm name, areas of practice, and fluency in a particular language.
Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
www.martindale.com, A site that lists thousands of lawyers and their areas of specialty, how to “shop for” and hire a lawyer, as well as containing other legal resources
www.infoctr.edu This site contains the Internet Law Library and other federal and state legal resources.
Library of Congress A must-see site with a dazzling array of information.
Federal Court Locator : Exactly what the title suggests.
www.llrx.com For legal professionals, a site devoted to the subject of legal research. An excellent collection of web links on the topic.
www.virtualchase.com An excellent site for legal research on the web, but again geared towards legal professionals.

www.lawreview.org A site that allows text searches of all law journals currently on the web.
www.findlaw.com Highly recommended for both the professional and layperson, this is a vast site with too many legal resources to list, including legal research, articles, news etc. An excellent “first stop” for the layperson.
