PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

1981 - Present        Private Practice of Law:

A practice concentrating in the areas of  family law, immigration, workers’ compensation, civil litigation, firearms related matters and criminal law.  Trial experience in both the civil and criminal fields as well as state and federal appellate experience.

 

2001-Present             Adjunct Faculty, Marywood University.

Teaching various law-related and Political Science courses.

                                           

1984 - 1986                Instructor:  American Institute of Paralegal Studies.

Taught civil procedure, evidence, criminal law, legal research, and

writing, American jurisprudence and family law.

 

1980 - 1981                Staff Attorney:  Northern PA Legal Services, Inc.,      Scranton, PA.

Trial experience in juvenile law, custody, paternity and support matters,

arbitrations, administrative hearings and divorce.  Non-trial work in

other areas of law.  Practical experience in handling large caseloads

efficiently.

 

1979 - 1980                Intern:  Camden County Public Defender’s Office,   Camden, NJ

Duties included investigations, representing clients at juvenile

hearings, preliminary and bail hearings.

 

1979                Law Clerk:  U.S. Attorney’s Office, Philadelphia, PA

Duties included extensive legal research and writing (memos, trial

and appellate briefs) and docket maintenance.

 

1978                Intern:  American Civil Liberties Union, Camden, NJ

Duties included research, brief writing, client interviews, updating

cases/calendar.
